What We Believe
EVERYONE is vulnerable to being pinned under the weight of their life circumstances at times
EVERYONE has a breaking point(s) - and ideally we don’t reach one!
No one can or should feel they need to go it alone
Shattering stigma is very important and lifts some weight off of us
Asking for a hand-up is not weakness - it is smart and demonstrates strength and courage
People dealing with mental health challenges and conditions are not weak but can be in a weakened state
Purpose is a key focal point on a healing journey
People on healing journeys should be invited into a community of volunteers working on a local project because everyone can make a unique contribution to society
Mental health is an integral part of overall health
As long as we are still on the stage, there are better days ahead!
With help, we can all be reminded that there are people out there who love us
The Story Behind Pinned2Purpose
Time spent with my 105-year-old relative, Alf Moore, and learning from his wisdom was always a reminder of the value of time; the normalcy of change and the ups and downs of life; and the benefits of staying in the game through gratitude, humor and connection. At 105, Alf would begin every day by looking in the mirror and saying, “Oh, good! You’re still here. Happy birthday, Alf!”
I’m sharing my story in the hope it helps others who may be struggling.
